National Golden Retriever Day Golden Colorado 2025 Battery. Thousands of Golden Retrievers gather in Golden, Colorado Courtesy of Visit Golden and Katie and Joe On the Go Visit Golden created the event to encourage more visitation in the slower winter months by inviting Golden Retrievers and their humans to gather under the city's iconic Welcome to Golden Arch in honor of National Golden Retriever Day.

According to Visit Golden, it has since drawn thousands of dogs and owners from across the state and country to the Denver suburb each year, with many of the city's hotels getting reservations a year in advance. They're hoping to break the world record for most golden retrievers gathered in one place that day.
